Fall Book Fair Family Night:

Time: 4:30-6:00

Place: Gilmer Elementary School Library

We will have a drawing to win a bag full of BOOKS!  Please bring an item listed below to donate to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas in Longview.  By doing so, you will be entered into our drawing!

Newspaper, hand sanitizer, new or used towels, new or used washcloths, new or used blankets, and paper towels

G.E.S. students will visit the fall book fair during the week of September 29^th-October 3^rd.  All classes have a scheduled time to visit the book fair.  If you are unsure of your child’s assigned day to visit the book fair, please contact your child’s teacher.  Please send cash with your child as checks will not be accepted.

Maker Space

Two second grade students visited our Maker Space section of the library last week.  These students were chosen for consistently showing hard work and a positive attitude during class.  At Maker Space, students are allowed to create anything they choose using a variety of materials.  These girls created necklaces, flowers, and other items during their time at Maker Space.  Natalie and Kara were chosen by Mrs. Clair and Mrs. Bean.

-We do not accept checks.  Please bring cash or credit cards.

-There will be no refunds or exchanges.  All sales are final.

-Parents will not be allowed to shop with their students during the school day.  Parents may ONLY shop during Family Night on October 2^nd.

Happy Kindergarten Students

Several Kindergarten classes visited the school library for the first time today.  These students checked out a book from our picture book section while practicing correct library procedures.  Pictured below are three happy library patrons from Mrs. Engel's class.

Students in PreK through 4th grade have enjoyed visiting the library this week.  Several students have checked out books before school, and many students have visited the library with their class during school.  Enjoy your books, GES Buckeyes!
